The rally counts with coefficient 3 in the championship and this gives an additional motivation to the Greek crews to try as hard as they can to succeed in the rally, that made a comeback in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1839\" src=\"https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_1.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first rally of the year took place last March. <strong>Rally Viotias<\/strong> was won <strong>by Alexandros Halivelakis-Thanos Papageorgiou<\/strong> (Ford Escort MKII), followed by <strong>Themis Chalkias-Nikos Komnos<\/strong> (Nissan Pulsar), with <strong>Dimitris Amaxopoulos-Hara Moraiti<\/strong> (Toyota Corolla KE30) completing the top three. The second round took place in tarmac surface, with <strong>Rally Sprint Egion<\/strong> in April. <strong>Marios Stafylopatis-Giorgos Hatzirigas<\/strong> drove the BMW M3 E30 to the limit to take his first victory of the season, with <strong>Ioannis Katsikas-Nikos Babalis<\/strong> finishing second in a Ford Escort MKII and <strong>Dimitris Amaxopoulos-Hara Moraiti <\/strong>(Toyota Corolla KE30) completing the rally in third place.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1847\" src=\"https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_5.jpg 1800w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_5-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_5-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/rally2023.historicacropolis.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Historic_Acropolis_Rally_2023_\u0394\u03a4_9_5-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1800px) 100vw, 1800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Rally Stereas Ellados was the third round of the championship, with <strong>Alexandros Halivelakis-Thanos Papageorgiou<\/strong> (Ford Escort MKII) returning to the first step of the podium, winning by just 3 seconds over the second-placed <strong>Alexandros Christodoulou-Thanasis Samaras<\/strong> in a Lancia 037 Beta Rally. <strong>Konstantinos Papadimitriou-Manos Sigalas<\/strong> (Toyota Starlet EP71 Turbo finished third. In the tarmac <strong>Rally Fthiotidos<\/strong>, <strong>Marios Stafylopatis-Giorgos Chatzirigas<\/strong> (Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4&#215;4) doubled their victories in this year&#8217;s championship. <strong>Lymberis Papazoglou-Maria Nikolopoulou<\/strong> finished second in a Lancia Delta, leaving <strong>&#8220;Geo&#8221;-Dimitris Tripintis<\/strong> (Peugeot 205 Rallye) in third place. Invulnerable on asphalt terrain this year, <strong>Marios Stafylopatis-Giorgos Chatzirigas <\/strong>won also the fifth round of the year, this time driving a Lancia Delta Integrale 16V.
